Power Packed Oatmeal

Great on cold mornings where your body just wants comfort foods. Skip the unhealthy bacon and eggs and reach for whole grain oats! This simple breakfast will take 10 minutes to make and will satiate the appetite for hours. Full of Omega’s and antioxidants. What a great way to start the day.

Ingredients: Serves 1

  • 1/2 cup organic uncooked oats (regular or steel cut)
  • 2 tbsp organic dry goji berries
  • 2 tbsp organic raisins
  • 2 tsp organic ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp organic molasses
  • 1 tbsp organic chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp organic flaxseed
  • 1 small organic apple (optional)
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup for sweetness

Directions:

In a small pot place uncooked oats (add water and cook according to manufacturer’s instructions). While cooking add in goji berries, apple, cinnamon and raisins in the pot with the oats.

Once cooked add in remaining ingredients and enjoy!!
